Why should I join the FSA? For a nominal $15.00 annual fee per family, you will receive a school directory which will be an extremely useful reference for all school and family contact information, as well as import dates, and class information. In addition, you will have voting privileges at the FSA meetings.
Why should I attend FSA meetings? There is no better way to learn what’s going on, what’s coming up, and what new ideas are being considered than attending the monthly FSA meetings.
Where, when, and how often does the FSA meet? The FSA meets every other month on a Monday. The meetings begin at 7:00 PM either in the media center or Virtual. All of the dates are listed on our website.
Why should I volunteer for FSA committees and chairperson positions? The success of all the FSA programs is made possible by our volunteers! Please join us.
Where do the FSA fund raising dollars go? The money the FSA raises is used to enhance our children’s education. Just a few recent examples of FSA dollars in action are: cultural arts assemblies; class trips; a computer cart with laptops and a printer; SMART Boards throughout our school; a 3D printer and supplies for the updated computer lab.
How do I find out more about specific events and programs? Once again, attending our meetings is a great way to find out about events and how you may become involved. Please see the "Committees" page of this web site for more information. You may also contact any FSA board member and let them know of your interest and your name will be forwarded to the appropriate committee chairperson.
I work full time. Which volunteer positions are suited to my schedule? Many of our volunteer opportunities take place beyond school hours. Great ways for working parents to volunteer include the following: Clothing Drive, Directory, 50/50 Raffle, Panther Clothing Sale, School Supply Sale, and Socials.
What is the volunteer policy? If you are volunteering for an FSA event or program at the school, you must enter through the main door and sign in at the office. When you are finished, please exit through the front door.
How do I make a suggestion to the FSA? The FSA is always open to new ideas and suggestions! You can share your ideas at one of our monthly meetings, but you can also contact a board member directly or send an email to info@mmsfsa.org.
